Authentic menu with deep dive dishes that are worth the drive past other typical Mexican restaurants for an adventurous eater. Order Jamaica to drink, if you like punch type drinks. Google what the items are as you explore the menu. I ordered a feast and pigged out. Also ask for salsa picante. The spicy stuff.

BEST SALSA VERDE DE AGUACATE! I'm not sure if they still do catering anymore, so I removed that stuff but you can still see it in my previous review. I'm also not sure if they continued breakfast or not. I really love this place because they have the best avocado salsa ever! I basically have the avocado salsa with a side of food. It's so spicy and creamy... it's consistently the best and I often come here to buy a few containers of salsa verde de aguacate to go over the food I'm eating at whatever party is in Tropicana unless that party already has a phenomenal salsa verde with their food. They stay open really late so sometimes I come over when the party place has run out of soap in their bathrooms. we've been coming here mostly once a week since we found it in 2016-2017. best huevos rancheros in memphis, best horchata, love the chips and salsa. never had anything bad on the menu. service is great, we love the people here! they treat us like family and my 3 year-old loves giving the owner a fist bump (:

This place has the best tacos in Memphis and super affordable! Its one of my favorite spots. I always forget to take a picture because as soon as I get my food, I am ready to just start eating! I always recommend their tacos but my vegetarian friend loves the bean burrito. The agua de horchata is also good here as well as the caldos.

The COVID-19 protocols are in effect here. The staff wears masks and gloves. Social distancing is set up here. Capacity limits are set as well. Unusable tables are taped off and blocked from use. The restaurant is clean and neat. The staff is very friendly and professional. You can call in your order and pick it up, or you can dine in. Coworkers and me stopped in for lunch. I ordered the ground beef burrito with rice and beans and a sweet tea. The lunch portions are pretty big, the food is really good here. There are a lot of choices on the menu, the dinner menu is very large, with a lot of options. I will definitely eat here again!

Forget what Google is talking about, this place! This does close on the weekends! 24/7 Friday and Saturday! They might snooze, but never close! My Mexicana kinda people! If like Chipotle's burritos well you love El Gallo Grillo burritos!
